Matt, often referred to as, “Squirrel,” met the Groom while cooking at Brasserie Du Monde. His loving nature, ability to take a dick joke and generous spirit made them fast friends.

Prior to moving to Florida to be closer to his mother, Matt also suffered a leg injury. The Groom and Matt both plan on getting matching leg tattoos once the Groom is back on his feet to commemorates this connection they have. Even though Matt lives in Florida, they both stay close and often text and talk. Usually Squirrel will text Randall his gas station receipts to tease him about living in California with all the ‘gas taxes.’

Even before becoming engaged, Matt would always say that he would be by Randall’s side on the couple’s eventual wedding day.
